  • 8 oz Cream Cheese can use vegan cream cheese
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt omit for richer flavor
  • 2 tbsp Chives can substitute with green onions
  • 1 tbsp Dill can substitute with parsley or basil
  • 1 tsp Ground Pepper freshly ground recommended
For the Sandwich
  • 2 large Ripe Tomatoes heirloom or Roma recommended
  • 4 slices Whole Wheat Bread can swap with sourdough or rye
  • 1 pinch Flaky Sea Salt optional but recommended
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes optional for heat

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, finely chopped chives, and fresh dill. Add a pinch of ground pepper to taste. Mix everything together until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Preheat your toaster or skillet over medium heat. Toast slices of whole wheat bread until golden-brown, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Slice the ripe tomatoes into ¼-inch rounds.
  4. Spread the herby cream cheese mixture on one side of each toasted slice. Layer sliced tomatoes on one slice and top with the other slice, spread side down.
  5. Cut the sandwich diagonally and serve. Optionally sprinkle flaky sea salt or herbs on top.
