Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unwrap all the Hershey Kisses and set them aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar and softened butter, beat until light and creamy. Add egg and vanilla extract, mix until incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda. Gradually add to the creamed mixture until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and coat in sanding sugar. Place on prepared sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 7 minutes until edges are set and lightly golden.
  7. Press a Hershey Kiss into the center of each cookie immediately after baking.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5-10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
