Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Whisk together until evenly mixed.
  2. In another bowl, blend the warm milk, mashed bananas, melted butter, and beaten egg. Pour this into the dry ingredients and stir until a soft dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 60-90 minutes until doubled in size.
  5. Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Spread softened butter over it, then sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
  6. Tightly roll the dough into a log shape and slice into 9 equal pieces. Arrange in a greased baking pan. Let rise again for 30-45 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and sound hollow.
  8. Prepare the frosting by mixing cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over the warm rolls.
