Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Whisk together until evenly mixed.
- In another bowl, blend the warm milk, mashed bananas, melted butter, and beaten egg. Pour this into the dry ingredients and stir until a soft dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 60-90 minutes until doubled in size.
- Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Spread softened butter over it, then sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
- Tightly roll the dough into a log shape and slice into 9 equal pieces. Arrange in a greased baking pan. Let rise again for 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and sound hollow.
- Prepare the frosting by mixing cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over the warm rolls.
