Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Gather ingredients and tools.
  2. In a bowl, mix one large egg, two cups of whole milk ricotta cheese, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley until smooth.
  3. Spread half a cup of marinara sauce in a greased baking dish.
  4. Layer four lasagna noodles, spread one cup of ricotta mixture, and one cup of mozzarella on top.
  5. Repeat with four noodles, half a cup of marinara, and one cup of Parmesan.
  6. Add another set of noodles, remaining ricotta, and one cup of mozzarella.
  7. Top with final four noodles and remaining marinara, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove foil, lower temperature to 375°F (190°C), and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  10. Let the lasagna cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
