Step-by-Step Instructions for Sautéed Zucchini
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and butter, melting until shimmering.
  2. Add chopped mushrooms and diced onion. Stir occasionally for 5-7 minutes until softened and golden.
  3. In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed and toss in chunky zucchini. Cook for 4-5 minutes undisturbed.
  4. Lower the heat and add minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, mixing well and cooking for an additional minute. Serve immediately.
