Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin your Pepperoncini Chicken Skillet by cutting chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes. Season the cubed chicken generously with salt and black pepper.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add half of the seasoned chicken cubes, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped yellow onion and sauté for about 5 minutes until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until aromatic.
- Pour the reserved pepperoncini juice, chopped pepperoncini peppers, low-sodium chicken broth, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes into the skillet. Stir and simmer for around 5 minutes.
- Let the sauce simmer and reduce slightly. This will concentrate the flavors of your Pepperoncini Chicken Skillet.
- Stir in ½ cup of heavy cream. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, mixing everything and seasoning to taste. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish your Pepperoncini Chicken Skillet with freshly chopped parsley and serve over cooked pasta or rice.

Notes
Adjust sauce thickness by simmering longer or seasoning to taste as needed. Store leftovers in an airtight container for optimal freshness.
