Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Rolling Pin
  • Baking Dish

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup warm milk, 2 teaspoons active yeast, and 3 tablespoons sugar. Let sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy. Stir in 4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter and 2 beaten eggs. Gradually add 3-4 cups all-purpose flour until a soft dough forms.
  2. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  3. Prepare the filling by combining 1 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon in a bowl. Chop 2-3 fresh peaches into small pieces. Set aside.
  4. Once risen, punch down dough and roll into a rectangle (12x18 inches). Spread 4 tablespoons softened butter, sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture, and scatter peach pieces on top.
  5. Roll tightly from the long side into a log shape. Slice into 12 equal pieces, about 1.5 inches thick. Arrange rolls upright in a greased baking dish.
  6. Cover and allow rolls to rise for about 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. The aroma will fill your kitchen!
  8. Mix 4 ounces softened cream cheese with 1 cup powdered sugar and a splash of milk until smooth. Drizzle frosting over warm rolls before serving.
