Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar using an electric mixer on medium speed for 1-2 minutes until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the eggs and extracts to the mixture and beat on low speed until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the dry ingredients and gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
  4. Gather the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  5. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Roll the chilled dough to ¼ inch thickness, then cut into rounds and place on the sheets.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until lightly browned around the edges.
  8. Let cookies cool on the sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
