Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash four overripe bananas until smooth with a fork and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add in room-temperature eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  5. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold dry mixture into wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in 3/4 cup of chocolate chips evenly into the batter.
  7. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips on top.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.
  9. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 20 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
