Preparation Steps
- Wash 12.5 ounces of fresh strawberries under cold water, then pat them dry and slice into quarters.
- Blend the sliced strawberries with 1/2 cup of granulated sugar until smooth, reserving 1/2 cup for serving.
- In a mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the reserved strawberry puree into the whipped cream gently.
- Layer the reserved 1/2 cup of strawberry puree at the bottom of each serving glass and top with the mousse.
- Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Garnish with additional sliced strawberries and fresh mint leaves before serving.
