  • 3 tablespoons gochujang spicy Korean chili paste
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce opt for gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil can be omitted if allergic
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup for vegan
For the Chicken and Veggies
  • 1 pound chicken breast sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger minced
  • 1 medium bell pepper sliced
  • 1 medium onion sliced
For Garnishing
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons green onions chopped

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add 1 pound of sliced chicken breast to the skillet, cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  3. Stir in 2 cloves of minced garlic and 1 tablespoon of minced ginger, sauté for about 1 minute.
  4. Add sliced bell pepper and onion, stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until bright and tender.
  5. Whisk together 3 tablespoons of gochujang, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and 1 tablespoon of honey.
  6. Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables, stir well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
