  • 1 cup Buttermilk Can substitute with regular milk
For the Coating
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour Gluten-free options available

For the Bang Bang Sauce
  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup Sweet Chili Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice Freshly squeezed

Method
 

Marination and Preparation
  1. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes or overnight for best results.
  2. Mix the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, lime juice, and a pinch of salt in a bowl to prepare the Bang Bang sauce.
  3. Combine all-purpose flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish for the coating.
Cooking Chicken
  1. Dredge the marinated chicken in the prepared flour mix.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C) and fry the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Transfer the fried chicken to paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Assembly
  1. Spread Bang Bang sauce on the sandwich buns, add the fried chicken, and top with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and pickles.
