For the Glaze
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar Make sure there are no lumps.
  • 1/4 cup Milk Adjust for desired consistency.

Method
 

Dough Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Allow it to sit until frothy.
  2. Whisk in eggs, melted butter, and salt; gradually add flour until a soft dough forms.
Kneading
  1. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
First Rise
  1. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.
Shaping
  1. Once risen, punch down the dough and roll out to 1/2-inch thickness; cut out shapes and place on parchment-lined sheets.
  2. Cover and let them rise again until puffy, about 30-45 minutes.
Frying
  1. Heat oil to 375°F and fry doughnuts for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Glazing
  1. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and milk, then dip fried doughnuts into the glaze.
