Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Spray a 9x9-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray and line with parchment paper.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat sugar, eggs, and egg yolk for about 5 minutes until pale and fluffy.
  4. Lower mixer speed and mix in melted butter, oil, and vanilla extract until just combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding until just combined, then add chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Dollop marshmallow crème on top and swirl gently with a knife.
  7. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until edges are firm and center is slightly underbaked.
  8. Once baked, cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 30 minutes before slicing.
