- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Spray a 9x9-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray and line with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat sugar, eggs, and egg yolk for about 5 minutes until pale and fluffy.
- Lower mixer speed and mix in melted butter, oil, and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding until just combined, then add chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Dollop marshmallow crème on top and swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until edges are firm and center is slightly underbaked.
- Once baked, cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 30 minutes before slicing.
