- In a large bowl, combine lean ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, and spices. Mix gently and form into six equal patties, about ¾-inch thick.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add patties and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until browned and internal temperature reaches 160°F. Transfer to an oven-proof plate and keep warm.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat, add flour and cayenne pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Gradually whisk in milk, stirring until the gravy thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Return the cooked patties to the skillet with gravy and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
