  • 8 oz Deli Ham Turkey is a lighter substitute
  • 1 cup Cheese (Cheddar, Gouda, Swiss, Mozzarella) Any good melting cheese
  • 4 Wooden Skewers Sturdy toothpicks can be used
For the Glaze
  • 4 tbsp Melted Butter For a golden, flavorful glaze
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic Fresh garlic works best
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Fresh Parsley Dried parsley is an alternative
For the Topping
  • 1 tbsp Sesame or Poppy Seeds Optional for decoration

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lay out one sheet of cold puff pastry and layer it with cheese followed by deli ham. Top with a second sheet.
  3. Slice the layered pastry into 1-inch wide strips.
  4. Fold each strip back and forth like an accordion onto a wooden skewer.
  5. Mix melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley for the glaze. Brush each tree before baking.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and puffy.
  7. Let cool for a minute before serving warm.
