  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown your choice of ground beef or Italian sausage. Add diced bell peppers and onions, cooking until softened, about 8–10 minutes. Drain excess fat and let cool.
  3. Spread a generous layer of tomato sauce over the prepared crust. Spoon the cooked meat and vegetable filling over the sauce, then sprinkle a hearty amount of mozzarella cheese on top.
