Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk and instant yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Gradually add flour, sugar, eggs, melted butter, and citrus zest to form a sticky dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm area for 1.5 to 2 hours.
  5. After rising, punch the dough down, divide it into three parts, and braid the ropes.
  6. Place the braided dough on a lined baking sheet, press dyed eggs into the braid, and brush with egg wash.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and hollow sounding.
  8. Let the bread cool on a wire rack for at least 15-20 minutes before slicing.
