Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Warm the milk, then mix in butter and egg before combining with the dry ingredients.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a greased bowl covered with a damp cloth for 1 hour.
  3. Mix cherries, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cornstarch in a bowl to prepare the filling.
  4. Roll the dough into a rectangle and spread the cherry filling evenly.
  5. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 equal pieces. Place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Cover the rolls and let rise for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Bake the rolls for 25–30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before glazing.
