  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce gluten-free option available
  • 1 tablespoon Chili Sauce (or Sriracha) adjust for heat preference

  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil for skillet coating
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Herbs (cilantro or mint) for garnish

Step-by-Step Instructions for Crispy Rice Paper Pancake
  1. Heat the skillet by warming a nonstick 10-inch skillet over medium heat, and add vegetable oil to coat.
  2. Prepare the filling by whisking the egg and mixing in scallions, carrots, and shrimp or tofu.
  3. Moisten one rice paper sheet lightly with water until pliable, then lay it flat in the skillet.
  4. Spread the egg mixture over the rice paper and drizzle with soy sauce and chili sauce.
  5. Layer a second rice paper sheet over the filling and press gently.
  6. Cook the pancake for 3-4 minutes until golden, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
  7. Serve garnished with herbs and sesame seeds, sliced into wedges.
