Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat, about 2 minutes.
  2. Add 4 cloves of minced garlic and sauté for approximately 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Sprinkle in 2 tablespoons of flour, stirring continuously for about 1 minute.
  4. Slowly whisk in 1 cup of half-and-half and allow to bubble gently for about 2 minutes.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste, stirring to combine.
  6. Stir in the zest and juice of 1 lemon and cook for another minute.
