Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef (or turkey) with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until evenly seasoned.
  2. If desired, brown the meat in a skillet for 5-7 minutes. Transfer the browned meat to the crockpot.
  3. In the crockpot, add elbow macaroni, kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, chili with beans, beef broth, and chili seasoning mix. Stir well to combine.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, stirring occasionally until macaroni is tender.
  5. In the last 15 minutes, add shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Cover to allow cheese to melt.
  6. Stir at the end and serve hot, garnished with green onions or desired toppings.
