Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 8 oz Pasta Choose your favorite shape
For the Salad
  • 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes Sweet and juicy, ripe ones preferred
  • 8 oz Mozzarella Balls Halved
  • 1 cup Fresh Basil Sliced into ribbons just before serving
For the Dressing
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil Extra-virgin recommended
  • 2 tbsp White Balsamic Vinegar Can substitute with red wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves Garlic Fresh, minced
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Adjust to taste

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside to cool.
  2. Rinse the pasta under cold water to stop the cooking process and cool it down, then let it sit to drain excess water.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine halved cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls and toss gently.
  4. Add cooled pasta to the bowl with tomatoes and mozzarella, folding gently to combine.
  5. Finely slice the fresh basil into ribbons and add to the bowl. Gently toss to distribute.
  6. Whisk together olive oil, white balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, kosher salt, and black pepper in a separate bowl.
  7. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and gently toss to coat all ingredients evenly.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
