- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and add egg noodles. Cook until al dente, about 6-8 minutes. Drain the noodles.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
- Stir in the cooked chicken and half of the shredded cheddar cheese, then fold in the drained egg noodles until well coated.
- Spoon the mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading evenly. Top with remaining cheddar cheese and sprinkle cooked bacon if desired.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then remove foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
