Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Crockpot Chili
  1. Brown the beef and onion in a skillet over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes, then drain excess grease.
  2. Sauté garlic for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Transfer beef, onion, and garlic to the Crockpot. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney and black beans.
  4. Add beef broth and stir well. Mix in chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, cocoa powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
  6. Once done, stir and adjust thickness with cornstarch if needed. Serve with preferred toppings.
