Step-by-Step Instructions for Crockpot Chili
- Brown the beef and onion in a skillet over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes, then drain excess grease.
- Sauté garlic for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Transfer beef, onion, and garlic to the Crockpot. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney and black beans.
- Add beef broth and stir well. Mix in chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, cocoa powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
- Once done, stir and adjust thickness with cornstarch if needed. Serve with preferred toppings.
