Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Melt butter in a large stockpot over medium heat. Brown the chicken legs for 5-7 minutes, then remove.

  3. Return the chicken to the pot, pour in broth, and season with salt, pepper, herbs, and bay leaves. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in diced potatoes and barley. Cover and simmer for 25-30 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  5. Mix in diced tomatoes, green beans, and zucchini. Simmer for another 10-15 minutes until softened.
