  • 8 oz Tomato Sauce consider adding tomato paste for a richer texture
  • 4 cups Beef Broth (low-sodium) use vegetable broth for a meat-free option
For the Add-Ins
  • 1 cup Cooked White Rice use pre-cooked brown rice for optimal results
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Paprika adds warmth
  • 1 tsp Sugar counteracts acidity
  • 1 leaf Bay Leaf remember to remove before serving
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley for garnish

Directions
  1. In a large pot, heat over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook for about 8-10 minutes until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, and sugar. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and add the bay leaf. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add chopped green cabbage to the pot. Cover and simmer for 25-30 minutes until the cabbage is tender.
  6. Once the cabbage is tender, add the pre-cooked white rice. Simmer uncovered for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  7. Taste and adjust the seasoning. Remove the bay leaf and serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
