  • 10 slices Sandwich Bread (crusts removed) Soft white or whole wheat both work beautifully.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine 8 ounces of cream cheese, 1/4 cup sour cream or mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons finely chopped dill, and a pinch of kosher salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  2. Lay out the crustless sandwich bread slices on a clean cutting board. Evenly spread approximately 2 tablespoons of the herbed cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice.
  3. Take 1 English cucumber and slice it thinly, around 1/8 inch thick. Layer these cucumber slices evenly over half of the bread slices.
  4. Place the other half of your prepared bread slices, spread side down, on top of the cucumber-laden slices, gently pressing to seal.
  5. Trim off the crusts of each sandwich and cut into smaller pieces, either into triangles or rectangles.
  6. Arrange the sandwiches on a serving platter and garnish with extra dill or thin cucumber slices. Serve immediately or chill for about 15 minutes.
