Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by trimming the crusts off 10 slices of fresh white sandwich bread. Using a rolling pin, flatten each slice until it's about ¼ inch thick.
- In a small bowl, mix together 3 tablespoons of melted butter, 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons plus ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon until well combined.
- Starting from one edge, tightly roll each slice of bread, gently sealing the edges with your fingers to keep the filling intact.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together 3 large eggs, 1 tablespoon of milk, ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract, and an extra ½ teaspoon of cinnamon.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 2-3 tablespoons of butter, allowing it to melt and coat the pan evenly.
- Carefully dip each roll, one at a time, into the egg mixture, coating them well but avoiding oversoaking.
- Once the roll-ups are perfectly golden brown and crispy on all sides, remove them from the skillet and place them on a serving plate.
