  • 1 cup pecans or nuts of choice

Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream softened butter and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg, vanilla extract, almond extract, and lemon extract; mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda.
  5. Gradually add dry mixture to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in chopped candied fruits and pecans until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop rounded portions of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them 3-4 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until edges are golden brown and centers are slightly soft.
  9. Let cookies cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Store cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.
