Step-by-Step Instructions for Chai Cookies
  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Cook until golden brown and nutty, about 5-7 minutes. Cool completely.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger.
  3. In another bowl, combine the cooled brown butter with light brown sugar and granulated sugar. Beat until fluffy, then mix in egg yolks and vanilla until creamy.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
